We believe that prayer is a powerful and effective way for us to connect with God. If you're anything like us, the biggest obstacles that keep you from praying are difficulty organizing or keeping a list of your prayers, then actually remembering to pray for those things when life gets busy. Echo was created to solve these problems, and to give you space to engage with your Creator.

Feeds vs Groups

Here are the primary differences between Groups and Feeds.

Created for: Small groups, families, friend circles, work groups, etc.

Size limit: Up to 50 people.

Who can create a group: Anyone with an Echo Plus+ membership has the ability to create groups.

Who controls content: Everyone who is a member of the group is an admin of the group. Everyone can add & edit prayers, mark prayers as answered, and has access to group messaging.

Other key features:

  • Messaging between group members

  • Assign a prayer to a group member

  • Group members get (optional) notifications when they are prayed for

  • All groups are private, and members must be invited

Created for: Churches, ministries, missionaries, organizations, home churches, larger groups, businesses, etc.

Size limit: Unlimited number of people.

Who can create a Feed: You must have an Echo Plus+ membership in order to create a prayer feed.

Who can follow feeds: Anyone

Who controls content: Only the creator of the feed and designated Admins. There is lots of control to grant nuanced permission for adding/editing prayers, managing followers, handling billing, etc.

Other key features:

  • Prayer statistics for your feed, and daily notifications about followers praying

  • Ability to have your prayer feed found publicly

  • Ability to control levels of privacy

  • Can invite followers in a number of ways, including social media, email lists, etc

  • Each follower has nuanced control over their notifications

  • Users don’t get notifications at the moment someone prays

  • No messaging (yet… we plan to add this for feeds, with admin controls for it)

The Groups feature was created primarily for smaller groups of individuals who want every member to be able to post content. Feeds is for organizations who want centralized control over prayer requests, and have larger-scale communication needs.
